Radix Swimsuit Sizing Notes from a 3 time boy mom
1yr-3yr
-
This size fits on a 1 yr old in the big diaper stage and also on a 2 or 3 yr old
-
If you have a 2 or 3 yr old child that is stocky, you might want to size up for the suit to last longer, but this is my typical recommendation for 1 to lean 3 yr olds
3yr-5yr
-
If you have a lean 3 yr old, I might size down to the 1-3yr old size
-
If you have a 3 yr old and you want room for him to grow into the suit, this could be a good size choice
-
My stocky 4 yr old wears this size, but it is shorter on him. The 4-6 size fits him well too, I just have him in this size for now because I like the tighter waistband size of the 3-5yr and will size up next summer
-
If you like shorter suits on your lean 5 yr old, this might be your size, but the 4-6 size above could work too for a little longer and looser look
4yr-6yr
-
I like this size for my newly turned stocky 4 year old AND my lean 6 yr old (although I put my 4 yr old in the size below for now)
-
If they are a lean 4 yr old you might want to consider sizing down to the 3-5yr
-
This could be a great option for an average 4-6 yr old, but if you prefer the shorts longer, or want your child to grow into it you might want to size up to the 6-7 yr
-
This might be a shorter option for your 6 yr old, but could be your choice if he is more lean
6yr-7yr
-
My recently turned lean 6 yr old CAN wear this size and it looks great length wise and fits in the waist when he is dry, but I prefer the 4-6yr for now because the 6-7yr sometimes falls down his bum when he swims since he LOVES jumping. For this summer I have him in the 4-6 still, but I’ve found most of my clients want the 6-7 yr old size that have similar builds to my lean son and just utilize the drawstring
-
This will most likely fit a 7 yr old through their summer, but you might want to size up if your 7 yr old is more of a stocky/taller build or wants a longer suit
7yr-9yr
-
This swimsuit has a spandex liner instead of the brief liner that allows for coverage for those pre-teen boys
-
This can most likely work for a newly turned 7 yr old, it just will be a little longer and bigger than the 6-7 size
-
The best fit is probably on your average 8 yr old
-
Your lean 9/10yr old boy could possibly wear it depending on their build since the waist is stretchy, it just depends on the length preference of the 9/10 yr old
